Inconel, titanium, Waspaloy, Hastelloy, and other superalloys are used throughout jet engines, airframes, and structural components — and they pay significantly more per pound than common industrial metals.
| Metal / Alloy | Current Buy Price | Common Applications |
|---|---|---|
| Inconel 625 | $9.50–$14.00/lb | Combustion liners, exhaust ducts, heat shields |
| Inconel 718 | $12.50–$17.00/lb | Turbine discs, blades, fasteners |
| Titanium Gr. 5 (6Al-4V) | $5.80–$8.00/lb | Airframe structures, engine components |
| Waspaloy | $14.00–$20.00/lb | Turbine blades, discs, rings |
| Hastelloy X | $7.00–$11.00/lb | Combustion chambers, afterburner components |
| René 41 / René 88 | $10.00–$16.00/lb | High-temp turbine alloys |
| Aluminum 2024/7075 | $0.55–$0.80/lb | Airframe sheet, extrusions |
| Stainless 321/347 | $0.55–$0.80/lb | Exhaust systems, heat exchangers |
Yes — machine shops are one of our best sources. Titanium and Inconel chips, turnings, and off-cuts from CNC machining are high-value scrap. We pick up regularly from shops in Texas, Kansas, Connecticut, and California. Call us to set up a regular pickup schedule.
Mill certs are helpful and can increase your price, but they're not required. We can identify most aerospace alloys by grade markings, heat stamps, or XRF analysis. If you have certs, bring them — they remove any uncertainty and typically result in a higher quote.
There's no strict minimum, but pickups are most economical at 500 lbs or more. For smaller quantities, we can arrange consolidated shipping or you can drop off at our facility. Call us to discuss your specific situation.
