How We Price Scrap Metal

Our prices are based on the London Metal Exchange (LME) spot price, COMEX futures, and current domestic market conditions. We update our reference prices daily and adjust for material condition, quantity, and grade.

For common metals like copper, aluminum, and stainless steel, the price you see is close to what you'll receive. For specialty alloys like Inconel, Hastelloy, and titanium, prices can vary significantly based on exact grade and form — call us for a precise quote on these materials.

We specialize in high-value industrial metals that most scrap yards either don't buy or severely underprice. If you have Inconel, Hastelloy, Waspaloy, Monel, titanium, or tungsten carbide, you're likely leaving significant money on the table with a standard scrap yard.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often are scrap metal prices updated?
We update our reference prices daily based on LME spot prices and domestic market conditions. Prices can change significantly day to day, especially for copper and nickel alloys. For a locked-in price, always call (754) 310-2984 on the day you want to sell.
Do you pay more than local scrap yards?
For common metals, we're competitive with the best local yards. For specialty alloys — Inconel, Hastelloy, titanium, tungsten carbide, tantalum — we typically pay 20–40% more because we have direct relationships with specialty metal processors and don't have to sell through middlemen.
What's the minimum quantity you buy?
For free pickup, we typically need 500+ lbs or $500+ in estimated value. For high-value metals like Inconel or tantalum, there's no minimum — even 10 lbs is worth a call. For plant shutdowns and facility cleanouts, we handle everything regardless of size.
